Specializations: Faith: Parenting & Family Life. Women’s Issues, Anxiety & Depression
Lou is a wife, mom, and executive director of the Restoration House. An LMHC-Qualified Supervisor, she treats anxiety, depression, & a variety of other issues that steal your joy. Lou is passionate about helping women of all ages. If you’re walking through relationship or parenting issues, she is here to help.
Women in leadership and public families
Alongside her work with women and families in South Walton, Lou often walks with ministry wives, executives, and women connected to civic and political life. She understands how public roles can intensify private struggles and is committed to providing a confidential, Christ‑centered space for women to process stress, grief, and complex family dynamics.
After completing a master’s in marriage & family therapy, Lou became a licensed counselor & a Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner (TBRI is an attachment-based, trauma-informed model).
Offering CBT Therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Lou views counseling as a holistic process, taking into consideration emotional, cognitive, physiological, & spiritual factors. Her faith in Jesus shapes her practice. She has repeatedly seen God turn terrible tragedy into something meaningful & even beautiful.
Talking with Lou is like talking to a trusted friend. Her approach is gentle, non-judgmental, compassionate, and loving, while also honest and direct. She is so good about helping put things into perspective, and she always points back to Jesus. I am so blessed by the time I spent receiving counseling from Lou.
